          a.  'Religious' characteristics which lead to dead spirituality:

               1. Our spirituality is dead if outward appearance is more important than inner purity (Luke 11:37-41)

               2. Our spirituality is dead if ritual acts are more important than a personal relationship with ADONAI (Luke 11:42)

               3. Our spirituality is dead if being seen by others is more important than serving ADONAI (Luke 11:43,44)

               4. Our spirituality is dead if rigid rules are more important than love that liberates (Luke 11:45,46)

               5. Our spirituality is dead if reliving the past is more important than recognizing ADONAI's present activity (Lk 11:47-51)

               6. Our spirituality is dead if preserving a religion is more important than experiencing life (Luke 11:52)
